It always seems like when the cool months roll around, so do all of the events which means our calendars are filling up. Not complaining, I love having lots to do and especially getting dressed up for it, but finding something to wear for all of those events can be a task not everyone wants to jump on. Is it formal? Should I wear a dress? Is a jumpsuit appropriate? These are just a few of the questions you may have asked yourself once or twice. It can be tricky especially when it isn't clearly started in the invitation. So today I am coming to the rescue to put together a few foolproof looks that will get you through all of your events without having to stress about what to wear again!
Look Pictured Above
A modest drop waist dress is a perfect go to. This dress would be totally acceptable for a fall wedding, cocktail party, or even an office party. For a more dressy event like a wedding, pair it with some nude heels and a small clutch to finish off the look. For a more conservative or casual event such as an office party, pair it with some flats and a cross body bag. (Dress is on sale for under $100 right now & is available in sizes 0-10!)
Don't be Afraid of the Jumpsuit
In my book, jumpsuits can pretty much be worn for anything. Weddings, cocktail parties, grocery shopping, swimsuit cover up....you name it and it can be done. Although they may be a win to me, I know there are some ladies out there who are scared to try them because they think they won't be flattering or they aren't tall enough to pull them off, well you're wrong! The silhouette of the jumpsuit below I believe is flattering on everyone. It's black (the ultimate slimming color) and it's fitted which shows off your curves in all of the right places without being too tight. Trust me on this one! Pair it with a fun bold jacket to keep you warm in the cooler months.
Mix & Match
One of my favorite feminine looks is a midi skirt with an embellished top. A satin skirt with an embellished sweater is perfect for the cooler months. This is the perfect look for holiday parties and even fall wedding showers. A pair of lace up closed toe heels and a sequined clutch will make you feel like Carrie Bradshaw walking down the streets of NYC!
