One reason fall and winter are by far my favorite wardrobe seasons is because of layering. I love how layering can make an outfit dimensional. Whether it be with a scarf, lightweight jacket, or even jewelry, layering can really help express your style and take that outfit up a notch.
Sleeveless turtlenecks or mock-neck sweaters have become my best friend here in the warm Texas winters. They still give you all the winter feels with the high neckline, but also leave you some breathing room by going sleeveless. When the temps drop, I like to add on a lightweight jacket like the one I have pictured to give you a little more warmth and also to add some dimension to my look.
One nice thing about these mild winters, we can still wear skirts and dresses without freezing our booties off! If you are wanting to wear a skirt (or dress) but need a little more coverage, just pair it with some tights and a pair of closed toe booties.
What are some of your favorite ways to layer in the winter?
