Happy New Year!!

I hope you all had a wonderful time ringing in 2017! I am still trying to cope with the fact that the holidays are now over and I just don't want to let them go :(. I usually don't make New Year resolutions but this year that is changing. This little fashionable corner of my life on the web has really taken off over 2016, so for 2017 I want to make it even better and go even further with you guys! With a full time job, blogging, spending time with TJ & Cam, and then squeezing in some time for friends and the fam, sometimes things can get pushed aside and I loose track of things. So 2017 will be the year of consistency. I want to make sure I am providing you all lots of content that you WANT to see and read, and make sure it is coming to ya on a regular basis. So keep an eye out for lots of things to come here on Calo's Closet this year!

For about a year now I have been eyeing duck boots but always thought they were too adventurous for me. When we booked our ski trip for February, I made my decision to finally get them because I would definitely be able to wear them there. So naturally when they finally came in and I tried them on, the first thing I did was hop on Pinterest to try and find other cute ways to style them other than just for playing in the rain or snow.

My style is somewhat laid back, but I was sure there had to be some cute way to wear them other than just with a t-shirt or plaid button down and jeans.

If you are a little unsure like I was, don't be! They are one of my most favorite pairs of boots in my closet now. Comfortable, warm, and can literally be worn so many different ways. I live in over-sized sweaters this time of year, so I thought it was appropriate to style these boots with this cozy sweater from Zaful and thick leggings and then polished off the look with some accessories like this necklace from Gorjana and these sunnies from Marsquest. You seriously can't go wrong with these boots so go ahead, make the plunge!

Here a few of my favorite styles of duck boots:
