Growing up, uniforms were my only option for school which at the time I thought was a curse. Now looking back, uniforms were the BEST! You wake up each morning and know exactly what to wear, and don't have to worry about competing with the other kiddos because you will all be wearing the same thing. But as a child with a passion for fashion, I always wanted the option to show my creative flare. Whether it be with a trendy handbag or stylish accessories, I was always looking for that creative outlet to make those boring old uniforms a little more fashionable.

That all changed when I got to college. The most important factor in an outfit for me in college was comfort. This unfortunately led me to a lot of oversized t-shirt and Nike shorts days #sororitygirluniform. When you are walking miles each day, the last thing you are looking for in your closet is a cute dress and some wedges. Well we all make mistakes and we learn, so that is why I wanted to share this easy and COMFORTABLE back to school look that is a great alternative to those less than attractive baggy t-shirt days (save those for when you are lounging on your couch ladies).

Instead of stocking up on those baggy tees, try something a little more fitted to give your body more shape and pair it with your favorite pair of comfy jeans. We all know that classrooms are bipolar and can either feel like a sauna or Antartica, so grab your chambray button down or a plaid shirt and tie it around your waist just in case. Don't forget a comfortable pair of shoes and a catch all handbag. These mules are made for walking and a bucket bag is a great option that is easy to throw on your shoulder and can still hold so much (this one is currently on sale!).

Do you have a go to look that you wear to school to stay comfortable/stylish? I'd love to hear in a comment below!

Today marks the first day of my full time blogging career. I have been dreaming of this day for years wondering how it would go, and what it would feel like. While I am more excited than words to be in this moment, I am also terrified. Terrified that I will not succeed. Terrified that I will not be as good as the others. Terrified that my dream won't last. While I may be terrified for all of these reasons and more, I am also super motivated. This has been my passion for going on four years now and although I may not be a professional and know everything there is to know about blogging, I am so motivated to make my dream a reality.

Now you may be wondering......

"How did you know it was the right time to jump in full time with this gig? Were you making loads of money? Did you get an awesome deal? What was that light at the end of the tunnel that made you turn this into a reality?"

A lot of factors played into my reasoning for going at this blog full time, but the main two were faith and drive. I would not be able to do what I am doing without the support system I have from my amazing boyfriend TJ, my two loving parents, all of my amazing friends and family, and all of my loyal readers. All of you give me the faith and drive to make it in this blogging world. I have always loved helping other people and getting to mix that with my love for fashion has been so amazing. I wanted to be able to dedicate myself 110% to my little corner of the internet so going full time was it. I want to be more involved in all of your lives and help all of my readers out as much as possible.

With all of that being said, the title of today's post is "Doing What's Best for You - Live Out Your Dreams" because I truly believe that sometimes we all need to take a step back, and decide what is best for each of us? Is that taking a vacation? Making a change in your career? Switching up your hair color? Whatever it is, do what you feel is right and what is best for YOU! We have such short lives to live so why not make the most out of them?!

So here we are.......Day 1

NOW LET'S GET TO IT!

I want to say thank you to everyone (especially TJ and my parents) for supporting me in my dreams and helping to make this a reality!

Trend to Try: Cropped Flare Denim

I have to admit, when I first saw this trend I wasn't in love. I'm pretty sure these are what we referred to as "high waters" when I was growing up, or some of you may know them as "flood pants". But just like everything else, things come around and styles that were far from trendy before are now all the rage. Well as you can tell, the trend has grown on me and after breaking down and purchasing a pair to try myself, I am in love. This pair of cropped denim are especially my favorite because of how comfortable they are. They have a little bit of a stretch to them and they also have a little bit of a high waist. You can seriously wear these jeans all day and will be comfortable. The key to this style of denim is wearing a shoe without any kind of strap covering your ankles, for example, a pair of loafers or mules looks adorable with this style of jeans. If pairing these jeans with a more flowy style of top, try going with one that hits you right at the waist or is a little shorter. These jeans also look really cute with fitted tops or a loose tee knotted at the waist. Shop my look on the shoppable widget above!

Happy Friday!!
