SunLESS Tanning

Since the warmer days are upon us and summer is right around the corner, I thought I would share with you my favorite sunless tanners. In high school I was a regular UV tanning bed tanner. I went a few times a week for probably longer than the experts would recommend. After graduating from high school, my tanning bed days went down to maybe once or twice a month and soon became never. I noticed a spot on my neck and after months of it being there I decided to finally go get it checked out by my dermatologist. Due to the over exposure to the harsh UV lighting, last year I was given the news that I had skin cancer. I was absolutely devastated and so scared. When I first got the call I had no idea the details on what kind of skin cancer it was or how bad it was. I soon found out that is was basal cell carcinoma and had it cut out. I was very lucky that it was not worse than it was. After going through that stressful time, I decided that protecting my skin from the sun was key and I was going to give my skin the best possible care I could. I am naturally very VERY fair skinned. In middle school I would get teased a lot for being so "pale" and would get called a ghost a lot. It is a harsh and very true reality that young girls and boys do get picked on for not having that "just left the beach tan" all year long. It took me a while but I started to really love and embrace my fair skin. There are so many beautiful people out there with fair skin and if you are one of those people I hope you embrace it and love it! Although I do love my fair skin and go 95% of the time natural, I do sometimes enjoy having a little color on my legs when I am wearing those cut off jean shorts in the summer. Since I refuse to go to the tanning bed and have to lather on the sunscreen when I am outside, I have became in love with sunless tanners and have been on the search for the perfect one for a while. I have probably tried almost every sunless tanner there is out there and am definitely not an expert but thought I would share with you all my top favorites! Since I am so fair, it is hard to find a self tanner that doesn't leave you looking orange because I don't have a base tan to even it out. One of my good friends told me about the Fake Bake Flawless Self Tanning Liquid and it is awesome! It comes with a mit that you spray the liquid onto and then rub all over the areas that you want to have a little more color. The color is a perfect bronze and is not orange at all. It is very easy to use and doesn't look streaky at all. Another one that I have used for a while is the St. Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Body Moisturizer. This is a lotion that you can apply daily all over the body to give you a hint of color. It is gradual so the color will intensify the longer it is on. This one also has a great color but is a little more on the pricey side. For a more wallet friendly version I recently purchased the Kardashian Sun Kissed Gradual Sunless lotion. This is by far the best sunless tanning lotion I have EVER used! Being fair skinned it is perfect light color that gives you the right amount of natural looking glow. It also does not leave any signs of color on your hands after washing them off after use. I personally think it smells amazing but some may have different opinions. I would strongly recommend this one to anyone! I have linked all of these sunless tanners below and hope this helped you find your perfect sunless tanner!
